We follow a traditional school-year calendar, and operate throughout the summer to provide parents with care for their children year-round.

BuildingBlocks_Preschool-Children-BlocksWe provide a program that reflects the developmental level of each child through individual, small group and large group activities. Our curriculum is based on active learning and hands-on experiences. We blend play-based learning with academic experiences to prepare children for the next level in their education.

Our program provides a curriculum rich in Language Arts skills and Math concepts. Children are invited to explore the world around them as we study various Science and Social Studies themes. Children are also encouraged to express themselves creatively and our day has many opportunities for Art and Music activities. Incorporated throughout the day are opportunities for the children to develop both their fine and large motor skills.

Each center or activity that is made available in the classroom is purposefully selected to foster the development and growth of the children.

We are a fully-licensed childcare center, and our facility adheres to all of the regulations set forth by the state of California Department of Health and Social Services. You will find our campus to be a safe and secure place for your child.

Our facility features a beautifully renovated classroom which has been specifically developed to meet the needs of young children. In addition to our indoor space, we also have ample outdoor space for children to enjoy. Our outdoor area features a large grass yard and brand-new playground equipment.

We are conveniently located in heart of the westside, near the 405 and 10 freeways. We have ample parking on our campus, making accessing our facility hassle-free.

Daily Routine

At Building Blocks Christian Academy, we understand that young children thrive when they are provided with a consistent routine. Our daily schedule provides children all the experiences they need to grow and learn.

We begin our day with circle time which includes a short devotion, songs and calendar. Our morning is spent alternating between large-group time and small-group time. These activities include “work time” (centers and free play), language arts and math experiences, movement and music, art, Bible story time and outdoor play. We serve a nutritious snack mid-morning.

Our afternoon includes lunch, rest time, afternoon snack and educational activities reinforcing what we learned in the morning. We end each day with a closing circle time.
